The Summer Is Over

I can’t believe Labor Day has come and gone, and the new TV season is about to begin.

Of course, part of the reason I feel as if summer went by too fast is, of course, the addition of PCC Jr. to our home. Jasper is doing fabulously, growing much too fast and taking so much of my attention. But, because of the wonderful DVR, I have been able to watch my summer shows, even the oft-frustrating True Blood. I have enjoyed the way they are handling PJ and Bobby’s relationship on My Boys. And, I like where they are taking Vince’s character on Entourage, though I’m not in love with porn star Sasha Grey getting mainstream work. I prefer to live in a world that doesn’t glamorize porn.

Anyway, the premieres are fast approaching. Here is a list of them. The capitalized shows are new, and the bolded ones are the shows I plan to watch this year. Of course, I’m willing to break up with new shows that don’t grab my interest and keep it and even start watching ones that didn’t look great from the get go, so things could change. I hope you will share your fall season plans and predictions in the comments section.

Jen! I was beginning to wonder if you were ever going to post again. Glad to hear that all of y’all are doing well. :)

I’ll be watching a lot of the same way – big surprise, I know – but there are some I’m going to be giving a skip, most notably Shat My Dad Says and Outsourced. I find the twitter feed amusing but don’t see how they could possibly make a decent show out of it. I’ve actually lost work to India so I don’t really find that premise amusing – it hits just a little to close to home, you know?

About the new shows, I’m most excited about Terriers, Nikita, and Lone Star. For the returning shows, I’m most excited about Sons of Anarchy and The Vampire Diaries. I’ve kind of given up on Gossip Girl.

Chuck and Supernatural go without saying!

I’m glad to have taken the time off that I did, and I’m not sure I’m ready to resume multiple posts per week, but I’m getting close. Jasper is so much fun to be around that it is hard to feel much lure from the computer unless he is asleep–and then I should probably be asleep!

The good news is that I continue to love watching TV, so I should have some things to say every now and again.
