Kanye West: Tool or Not?

So, Kanye pulled a real tool move at the VMAs, jumping on stage to protest Taylor Swift’s win over Beyonce.
I go back and forth on Kanye. I appreciate his outspoken nature when he tells us that G.W. Bush doesn’t like black people, but I can’t stand when he whines about not winning a moonman trophy.
I feel like he may have been upset at the perceived pro-white bias of mainstream music, and if that was part of turned him into an unthinking dick while Taylor Swift was on stage, well, I can see where he is coming from. I don’t think there is an excuse for the way he made his protest, though. Race in popular culture is something I’m exploring for one of my epic-length posts, so check back for that one. Until then, weigh in on whether Kanye is a complete tool or not. No “I don’t know” choices here–take a stand.

He’s a tool, but I kind of agreed that Beyonce should have won.

Yeah. I rarely disagree with Kanye’s message, but his delivery leaves a lot to be desired. I really have no feelings about whether Taylor or Beyonce should have won, though.
