Zac Efron Is Still the Golden Boy

His new film, 17 Again, led the weekend box office with $24.1 million in ticket sales. Read the entire top 10 here.

I don’t know how this makes me feel. The movie looks innocuous enough. A pretty typical adult goes back to high school comedy. And Matthew Perry is in it, and I’m happy for him to be seeing some box office success. But I’m pretty tired of Zac Efron and his impeccably coiffed hair. I want to wash it and dry it in a normal style that doesn’t invovle quite so much product. Or throw him in a wind tunnel to see if his hair actually moves.

In related news, Chace Crawford may be the new Ren in the Footloose remake. That should be fun. I might actually watch it.
