OMG, People. It's Fiction. AKA Not Real.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email. Thanks for visiting!

I am beginning to wish that Dan Brown would retire. Not because I don’t like his books. And not because The Da Vinci Code movie was a train wreck of massive proportions. Not even because of Tom Hanks’ bad hair, which appears to have been remedied in the Angels and Demons movie.

No, it is because I can’t bear to her another Catholic claim that Dan Brown is the antichrist. Dan Brown writes fiction. Fiction is a fancy word for not real, made up, fake. There are people who hate Catholics, and Brown explores some of their ideas in his work. There are stories of cover-ups in the Vatican. Brown uses these ideas to inform his work. But, when you get right down to it, Brown makes stuff up and puts it on the page.

Quit taking fiction so seriously. Dan Brown doesn’t hate you or your faith. Why do you insist on hating him for making a living by making up stories?

  • 90210 and Melrose Place: In a word, meh So, I watched 90210 and Melrose Place last night, and I was underwhelmed. I don't expect a lot from 90210, so it was fun but not as fun as some of last season's episodes. The Annie story seemed disjointed and bizarre, and very little else caught my attention. Melrose Place......
