What Is up with Adoption?

When did everyone get so baby crazy that they need to have babies and adopt even more?

Fergie is the latest celebrity to go on about how she would love to bear and adopt a bunch of babies.

I think it’s wonderful for people to help give children a better life and a family they wouldn’t normally have had. But, I’ve always thought that the physical limitations placed on a woman’s body help ensure that the family never has more kids than it can handle. (Newfangled fertility treatments that bring about the Jon and Kate plus 8 syndrome notwithstanding.) How can you give the necessary personal attention to that many kids at once?

Am I crazy? (I don’t have the kids yet, so I’m not talking out of personal experience.) Is it truly the more the merrier? Or is there a finite amount of personal attention each child can receive? And does a lack of personal attention lead to behavorial or psychological problems later?

You are totally not crazy. Brangelina may have fun with all of those kids, and at least hose kids don’t have to live in poverty anymore. But does each have their own nanny so thay can get the attention they need?
