Kristen Bell on Broadway … in Heathers?
Rumors are swirling that Kristen Bell will again play a Veronica. This Veronica is the star of Heathers, the role originally played by Winona Ryder in the 1988 film.
I love for Kristen Bell to be working, and I am intrigued by the thought of Heathers as a musical. But, WTF, Broadway? Have you really fallen this far that the new big musicals are adaptations of Heathers, Sleepless in Seattle, and (gross) Ghost?
The next step will be the re-movie-ization of each of these little musicals, a la The Producers and Hairspray. Will they then do new Broadway adaptations of the movies?
