I'm Not Completely Dead Inside

I read over the weekend that Kelly Rutherford is divorcing her husband, and it made me sad. I think that means that my lack of caring about the possible demise of the Jennifer Lopez-March Anthony union is based on the fact that I care very little about them, not that I think all Hollywood marriages are worthless. I have not lost all sense of romance and sentimentality–I just don’t like J.Lo. That makes me feel a lot better about the world.

Now on to the details about the latest celebrity divorce. Kelly Rutherford, who I love as Serena’s mom on Gossip Girl, is pregnant with her second child by soon-to-be ex-husband Daniel Gersch. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason. Other than the Drew Barrymore vehicle of that title, irreconcilable differences is the most boring divorce reason. I want fraud or adultery or something exciting to whisper about. Or I want it to be a strange case of pregnancy hormones that will be rescinded in a week or two.
