Tortured by the Man

I have a day job. Most of the time, I go there Monday through Friday, write the things that need to be written, lay out the things that need be layed out, and post the things on the Web that need to be posted. Not rocket science, but not a bad gig.

Yesterday, however, we had an inservice. Instead of our usual work day, we rode the bus to a nearby ropes course and submitted ourselves to a day of torture–I mean, teambuilding. Thus, I am sore and exhausted today.

On a completely unrelated note, I wanted to add that after the horror of trying to watch Valentine Sunday night, television redeemed itself by the joy that is an episode of True Blood. This show keeps getting better and better as it adds layers to all of the characters. I still am very upset that they killed off Gran. I loved the character, and I love the actress. But, I enjoyed seeing how the characters dealt with her death. The reactions were all authentic and sometimes cringeworthy. Sam, you don’t leave the house of the girl you supposedly love with her best friend. And, Tara, please begin to believe that you are worth more than the co-dependent relationship you have with your mother.

I am interested in reading the books that the show is based on and comparing the two. If you also are interested in the Sookie Stackhouse fantasy books, visit this blog to find out how to win a copy: http://bestfantasystories.com/win-a-free-charlaine-harris-true-blood-book/
