Can We Scratch Cougars Out of Our Lexicon?
I find the term cougar so gross and offensive. Yet, I may have to embrace it, or at least learn to live with it, as one of my favorite comedic actresses is doing a pilot titled “Cougar Town.”
Courteney Cox, aka Monica from Friends and Carrie from The Opposite Sex and How to Live with Them, will star as a divorced 40-year-old with a 17-year-old son. Hijinks will ensue, and I hope the hilarity will not be completely demeaning to all women of a certain age. I will watch it, because I do like Courteney, but I will be willing to quit after an episode or two if it bugs.

In sad news, the juggernaut that was the Obama infomercial decimated Pushing Daisies. Only 6.64 million people escaped into our world, as opposed to the 26.42 who watched Obama. The good news is that this number is an increase from last week.
