No Singing Hookers
I know I’ve been all happiness and light lately, but I’m re-curmudgeoning myself today.
How flipping tired am I of the Elliot Spitzer story and the insane amount of focus on the hooker. They are actually playing her “single” on the radio. Z100 in NYC is all about Ashley Alexandra Dupré and her song. It’s not awful, but it sounds a lot like all of the other pseudo-talented girl songs out there (you know, like everyPussycat Dolls song).
Yo on E! played it on their Love It or Get It Out of Here segment, and most of the callers before I had to turn my XM to Broadminded in disgust actually loved it. I realize people like slutty girls (again, look at the success of the Pussycat Dolls), but I would think that if the girl were actually serious about having a singing career, she might have chosen a different way to pay the bills than selling her body.
