Bored
The holidays, aka the time when nothing is on tv and sitting around doing nothing wears so thin that I actually start cleaning, are finally over. So although most of the new content on tv will be so-called reality shows that I have no interest in watching, at least a couple of new scripted shows will be on this week.
Here’s what I’ll be watching.
Wednesday
8:00–Probably the end of the Fiesta Bowl. My mom is from Oklahoma, so as long as the Sooners aren’t playing the Ducks, I can root for them.
9:00–New episode of Gossip Girl. Ed Westwick’s band The Filthy Youth will have two of their songs featured in tonight’s eppy. Ed plays Chuck, resident bad boy who I haven’t decided whether to love or to loathe.
10:00–I will either watch DVRed shows in bed or Veronica Mars on DVD. For those of you who like cop shows (or lawyer shows), there is a new episode of Law and Order on tonight, and Elton from Clueless (Jeremy Sisto) has joined the cast. I guess his holding deal worked out pretty well for him after Kidnapped tanked last year.
Thursday
8:00–Possibly E! News and Chelsea Lately, possibly VM or Gilmore Girls on DVD
9:00–Supernatural. Yes, I know it isn’t a new episode, but I have been a bad SPN fan this year, and I’m having to play catch up. Remember the old NBC slogan? If you haven’t seen it, it’s new to you. Sin City is the episode title, in case any of you missed this one during it’s first run, too.
10:00–I might watch the repeat of the tornado episode of Desperate Housewives
Friday
9:00–A new episode of Friday Night Lights.
10:00–Possibly an episode of Moonlight. The show is kind of fun, and it’s the only way to get my bad boy Logan fix without pulling out S1 of VM. S3 Logan was way too angsty for my taste.
Saturday
Does anyone watch anything on Saturday? I certainly don’t.
Sunday
9:00–Desperate Housewives. I don’t really believe they would kill off Matt from Melrose Place, but I kind of have to find out.
10:00–Cashmere Mafia. Sigh, I know.
Monday
8:00–Everybody Hates Chris. I used to record this show and watch it during the 8:30 time period, but this year I had too many shows during the 8:00 timeslot on Mondays. (I typically watch How I Met Your Mother, then watch my DVRed Chuck on Tuesday at 8–the new tv wasteland). Anyhoo, see my comment from Thursday at 9.
8:30–Possibly Aliens in America. Even though it’s a repeat, it’s a very cute show and a great use of Scott Patterson’s contract with The CW.
10:00–I’ve tried to care about watching October Road this year, but other than the weird not really a season premiere they played that one Thursday night, I just haven’t caught up. I might watch, I might not.
Tuesday
8:00 and 9:00–One Tree Hill (ducks and dodges the snide comments). I can’t help but watch teen angst shows. We’ll see if the post-college angst also entertains even mildly. If not, I’ll be begging for Reaper repeats.
So, now you know what I’ll be doing for the next week. How about you?
